Top cover difficult to remove. Use cause and effect around the monitor, take your time, follow directions. If you do need to remove it I would suggest using ifixit's plastic tool to gently pry up the tabs on the top cover. The bottom didn't fit very well and came off easily. I ended up just using the top. The keyboard cover is good, but it dims the backlit keyboard at high brightness. The upper letter is a soft plastic texture, the lower letter is transparent dark smoke color.
