Review on 🐾 SCRAPE 'N' SCOOP - Cat Litter Scoop: Ultimate Cleaning Solution for Sifting and Scooping Kitty Litter by Denise Woodcock

Our old shovel recently broke and this product has been restored. me from a friend. I wasn't sure I'd have to spend that much for a poop scoop, but if it saved me a trip to the local pet store and looking for cheap, flimsy models, why waste my time. We have several cats in the house and they have to do their jobs every day! The product arrived in just a few days and I was pleasantly surprised at how durable it feels. It was more than expected (more on that later). It is very ergonomic and easy to hold, which will be helpful for those with old or weak hands. Our old scoop picked up a lot of useful/"unused" junk and it made us fill the bin a little quicker. This model has wide slots so that the droppings are collected and the unused fill material is left behind. We use fillers in the form of dry clay granules. As this product works well and is durable enough to last a lifetime I would give it 5 stars. If I could bet 4.5 I would. There are three reasons for the half star: Because it's quite long, it doesn't work as well in shorter bowls - the square end of the scraper gets in the way. If there was a smaller model without the square scraper, that would be great. I would probably buy one of each. The corners of the scraper are quite sharp. If they were rounded it would be a safer design. The corners of the litter boxes are rounded anyway, so no 90-degree corners are necessary. There is a hole in the body of the pen which I believe is for hanging from a hook on the wall. I tried hanging it on an old pan hook, but because the hole in the body is off by about 1/4 inch, the hook doesn't reach the hole. This is a very minor issue, but other people may notice it as well. Overall I am happy with the purchase as are all of our fluffy cats. You help us use this product every day!
