This little magnifying glass is more convenient than a shirt in your pocket. I'm not sure I remember why I bought it, but it was incredibly helpful. I used it to check jewelry for flaws and to see those tiny stamps that identify the type of metal used and the maker. It's almost impossible to see these marks without one of them. It was invaluable for removing debris and inspecting damage. I've used it for so many things I can't remember all of them. Suffice it to say that it's useful for a lot more than what it was designed for. For the price, every family should have this. I was contemplating taking off a star because the battery doesn't last very long, but any time you buy something that comes with a battery it's bullshit how long it lasts. I can't call her for that and it's a really handy thing.
