I love this necklace. Last year we had many losses and heartaches when it came to our Fur members. We lost our sweet Golden Retriever Honey to cancer. My dad and his fiancee lost sweet boxer Lucy to a bone tumor. My father's fiancee loved her so much, Lucy, and it broke his heart when she lost her. I wanted to do something nice and thoughtful, but I wasn't sure what it was. We fought over colors but I wanted something that would last and be more personal. I stumbled across this and thought it was a great idea. When she euthanized her dog, she received shreds of fur and was cremated. I'm not sure if she put ash or fur in the necklace, but I've seen it used for both. I could see it falling apart. I also find that the choker is a bit big to wear in my opinion. I got it more as a keepsake for her to keep some of the ashes as she planned to expel the rest. I was surprised to learn that she still wore it to work and many of her colleagues commented and praised her.
