I didn't do anything to test it, I just connected it to my Windows computer via HDMI and it works great. The monitor is bright, there are no dead pixels, there are no drops in brightness, everything works. I use it for remote access to other computers and need a little more than normal resolution so I can stack other full screens. I've had this for a few months and it seems like I got a really good deal.
