I never understood the thick plastic cover Nikon puts on all their pro cameras. You would think that with a professional camera they would either make the LCD scratch resistant or make something that works. Plastic covers are always scratched and need to be removed to get a clear view. I used a tempered glass cover on my D300 so I got this for my D810. Like my iPhone, they are easy to put on. I didn't care about the wipes, wet ones left a wet film and dry ones did nothing, so I used a micromaterial cleaning wipe. My screen is scratch resistant and I have two more in case there is a scratch. If I need to replace the one I just put on you, just gently pry off the old one. It will likely crack and break, but will not damage the LCD. Now I don't have to waste time removing the cover when I want a clear view of the LCD.
