My friend's dog has severe allergies and skin conditions that cause the pads and skin on his paws to become thin and tear easily on rocks and uneven terrain. We love taking them on adventures, but it was always risky and we couldn't get past less traveled trails. As a dog professional, I love dog gear. I bought her silicone rubber boots which she really liked but her feet are swollen as she is allergic to many types of plastic. As a last resort I thought I would try these and they are perfect. Eddie weighs about 65 pounds (about 65 pounds) and fits her well. I desensitized them to them before letting them wear them for any length of time. The laces work well and are long enough to wrap around the dog's ankle to secure the boots. Her toenails don't always stay in the small cut holes, but they still stay fine if not a bit out of place when she walks. Highly recommended for anyone looking for comfortable protection without the plastic. Let's see how they behave in the rainy season.
