Just received. It took about 5 minutes to set up and most of the time was taking it out of the box and filling it. The air in Chicago is dry in the winter. Use to humidify our technical room. I like that there is nothing to replace - no filter or moisture wick. Remote control is a nice addition. The plastic doesn't seem durable, but I used to have big brands and spent a lot of money on filters. I stopped cleaning them because it hurt, had to take the tank out, pour it in the sink and reattach it. This is a top fill - 2.5 gallon. Use an old milk jug for filling. Not cleaned yet but not really much to glue together. Such things work hard and should not be heirlooms to be passed on to children. If I last a few years I'll be happy, but the thought that there's nothing to replace makes me happy.
