Some electrical work was done in front of our home last month. Sockets and cables for low-voltage lighting were attached to the beds and foundations. When I first used sockets, GFI worked. The outlet covers were old-school swing covers for each outlet. They only close the outlet when nothing is plugged in. I asked an electrician for a price on weatherproof covers and it was more than I was willing to pay. So I checked out Revain here and I liked what I saw in the reviews for this product. And the price was great. I originally ordered 5 (for new outlets). It took me about half an hour (maximum) to remove and replace the original covers with these. The only thing that stopped me was doing it in the rain and rolling in the mud. I have had the opportunity to use them now and am very happy with them and would highly recommend them. Plenty of mounting options and enough space inside to bend the plug cord and still have room to close the lid. It rained a lot here in New York last month and I haven't ridden a GFI since installing it. I have since ordered and installed two more to cover my two original outdoor areas that came with the house. You can't go wrong with this.
