I've read a lot of reviews complaining about how difficult it is to assemble, how people couldn't lock the cams etc, but I've decided to go ahead and make one to make a purchase. , because as with reviews of other products, I had a suspicion that many of the 'difficulties' could be due to a lack of knowledge/skills or using inappropriate tools for the job. My build experience was very varied and pretty smooth. I took my time and it still only took me about 20 minutes to assemble it. It took some effort to lock the cameras, but it guaranteed me they wouldn't unlock. I used a suitably sized flat head screwdriver instead of a Phillips head for extra torque, which in my experience tends to slip out when trying to lock the cams. Also, instead of using an electric drill when installing the eccentric bolts, use an appropriately sized hand screwdriver and make sure they are flush with the countertop. The nylon inserts are threaded, but since they are nylon, they tear easily if overtightened. If you take your time and DO NOT USE POWER TOOLS, especially on the cam bolts, you should have no problems with the assembly. I bet 95% of build problems are due to user error. The frame and side parts are made of solid wood, the upper and lower shelves are made of imitation wood and I didn't expect much more for the price. The finishing of all the parts was satisfactory, but especially the tops and shelves and for my purposes (bonsai table) it is perfect, if not too good. In addition, after proper assembly, the table is very durable. This makes them great for the price and offers excellent value for money. Make sure your skills match assembly, and if not, ask for help, but don't berate a perfectly acceptable product for lack of experience and skill.
