Too big for a child's bike

I think the handlebars are of good quality. I ordered these because the description said they were for a children's bike, but the handlebars are too big for my grandson's bike handlebars and easily come off when he's cycling. They annoy him, so he just takes them off and drives without them. I think I could save my money.
