I used to use softbox style fluorescent tubes for both photography and video. They worked well but were too big to leave installed all the time and seemed to take ages to assemble, so I often just used available light, often not the best choice, or skipped taking photos altogether. Whether that's good or bad for the nature of my business. changed a few things by drastically increasing the number of videos I would have to record. This prompted me to look for a lighting solution that doesn't take up as much space but is quick and easy to install. Login to GVM. I have purchased one of their twin bulb kits and have been delighted with the results so far. The lights are incredibly bright and versatile - I'm no longer limited to a single color temperature, they set up very quickly and the ability to use batteries and be portable means I have options I hadn't even thought of before . .Of course not quite heavenly. The phone app leaves a lot to be desired. Firstly, it's a bit tricky to install, at least on Android, it's not clear how to get it working (you need to connect to a Wi-Fi signal that's going out) and once you do it can be a little clunky and occasionally accuses you of Chinese. It works quite well once you get the hang of it, but it could be a bit better. This is a minor comment, however, but overall the quality, performance, ease of setup and use of these lights make them a must buy for everyone. trying to capture a professional or semi-professional photo or video. Highly recommended. I am so impressed with GVM that I have already purchased one more of their lights (per camera) and plan to purchase more as demand for my videos increases over the next year.
