I don't like these balls. If they're rotationally molded, why are each of my balls an equatorial shape? I tried to enhance the photo to make it more visible but believe me everyone has it. So is it a fake? If they're real, Franklin should explain why rotomolded balls have a seam. They came in an unlabeled plastic bag and nowhere was Franklin. I will make an intensive comparison with the famous real Franklin balls. UPDATE: I sent them back. However, in November I went to the national pickleball competition and spoke to the young man who is responsible for the research, design and production of these balls. He also convinced me that the presence of a seam is not a sign of a fake. I've bought a dozen more and they seem good - same thickness, in the original box (from Franklin) and I'm raising my rating to a 4, maybe 5 depending on how they play. One thought I still don't get: Why didn't Franklin's rep even try to contact me or leave a comment? This is how you *should* deal with negative reviews.
