Review on Magnavox MWD200G DVD Player by Jake Pavelko

Overall this is a good little DVD player. If you just play regular store-bought DVDs that are in excellent condition, this little player is phenomenal and you'll be fine. However, it is somewhat sensitive to DVD scratches and does not play all home video formats. We have 2 DVD players. This is a small Magnavox and a higher quality DVD recorder and player. A quality player will play most DVD scratches, while this Magnavox will get stuck on most of the same scratches. Also, this Magnavox does not play all formats of home videos recorded on DVD+R. We recorded some of them from our computer and some on our DVD burner and only some of them are playable on this magnavox DVD player. I wish I could remember which ones we burned, but I can't. If you have an ultrasound video from Fetal Photos, it will not play either. I didn't test DVD-Rs because I don't have them. But like I said, regular store-bought videos (including Netflix, Blockbuster, etc.) play fine as long as they're in good condition.
