Upgr8 Universal 4-Layer Heavy-Duty 90 Degree Crank Gear, 3.0" to 4.0" Connecting Hose is a quick and easy way to hook up a Makita Planer # 2012NB Strange ball (dust outlet less than 3 inch) for US standard 4 inch connection. Revain also offers a 45 degree connector if that suits you better. This 90 degree piece is also available in black and blue. To me it looks like this part is made out of neoprene and not silicone as advertised. This is very important, the Makita dust collection nozzle is tapered and it takes the entire 3" side length to enlarge it to a 3" diameter where it fits snugly. enough not to need a clamp (at least initially). Therefore, you should refrain from short modules (you'll understand when you see them) unless you want to modify (shorten) the dust collector nozzle. You may also need a Powertec #70123 4" OD to OD connector to complete the connection. See pictures!
