Looks nice but isn't practical at all. It looks like whoever designed it never used it and may never have kept an aquarium. The lighting is not bright enough to keep the plants.2. The glass cover collects huge condensation bubbles that attenuate part of the light coming from the lamp.3. The compartment with the filter is almost impossible to clean.4. Access to the filter motor is extremely difficult. You have to pull it out by pulling hard on the power cord. how safe is it 5. There is a thin plastic cover for the filter compartment. First, it doesn't fit. Also, the plastic cover with electrical wires from the filter motor and heater cannot lay flat - even if it does fit.6. A significant portion of the 3 gallons the tank holds is actually in the filter box so the fish are not getting 3 gallons. Marineland didn't bother to specify which filter fits which tank. follow the letter? Colour? name of the tank? Is it Penguin, Eclipse, Emperor or Millennium? Horizontal or vertical? I wanted a small aquarium with a good filter and good lighting for my Betta. This tank was recommended to Bettas in an online article. DO NOT buy this tank for Bettas. Even with the filter set as low as possible, my poor betta hides all day. He can't fight against the current. Too bad I didn't know what I know now before installing the tank. I wish I had never bought this tank.
