Extra work to install it but worth it.

For all the people who are worried about the installation problem, it's true that you need a little work to get this item on your desktop but if you have the skills To cut the hole for it, you can take additional steps to modify the hole so that the power supply sits flat on the table surface. You will need a jigsaw, 4 small screws, a hammer, a Phillips screwdriver and a chisel or sharp blade. Steps: 1) Turn the box upside down on your desktop and circle the box where you want to make a hole for the device including the 4 tabs. 2) Drill 4mm diameter holes in each corner of the marks where the box will be mounted. Do not go beyond the lane lines. 3) Use a jigsaw to cut the box out of the table. 4 holes help you insert the saw blade to make cuts and narrow corners. Don't cut where the protrusions will be. 4) Using a hammer and chisel, remove approximately 4mm from the table top surface where the outline of the protrusions are visible. This is easy if your surface is veneered like mine. You may not even need a chisel if you have a sharp cutting blade. You can cut out the outline of the molding and then scrape the wood surface until the moldings are about 3-4mm below the worktop. You'll know you've removed enough wood from the tab area when the entire box sits flat in the hole in the table top. 5) Find 4 wood screws to hold the box in place and install them through each tab. Then use the 2 screws that came with the power box to install the item in the installed box. It seems like a lot of extra work, but you'll be glad you did because the device looks great. Much luck!
