After years of home networking, I've learned three things: 1. Don't buy flashy power cords if they're visible; You want them to harmonize.2. It's probably worth buying the right length patch cords and not crimping the ends yourself. Thus, there are fewer problems with accidental connection. Make sure the ends separate easily. I have previously purchased several ethernet cables which were very difficult to pinch and bit me when unplugging them from devices in hard to reach places. These cables fit well at all three points.
