Microsoft Surface Book works pretty well with the Surface Pro 2017 Charger (40W 15V 2.58A). I didn't want to buy this device just because it was noticeably cheaper than other devices, but when my original Microsoft power cord shorted out I needed something immediately and took a chance and bought this device, which works great. Charging seems a bit slower than I remembered but works pretty well. There's an indicator on the power cord that's lit all the time when it's plugged into the wall, regardless of whether the computer is plugged in or not, which was a bit of a surprise but doesn't affect how well it works, what it does .
