Review on Genuine Toyota 16100 29415 83 Water Assembly by John Beltran

Recently bought this item for my Corolla 06. Called the dealer and he gave a different part number for $168. When I received this new pump I noticed a difference in the vein patterns machined on the inside of the pump near the screw holes (see pictures from another review for reference). I was initially skeptical that coolant would circulate through these gaps, but after removing the original OEM pump, these gaps should not let any coolant through at all. The hole pattern and the flange thickness are exactly the same. The product description states that you need to purchase additional OEM bolts, but this is not necessary as the thickness of the flange is the same. Although my setup is fresh, around 200-300 miles with a new pump, there have been no leaks and the car does not suffer from overheating issues. I would suggest when you replace the water pump, and at the same time replace the serpentine belt and thermostat to save time along with new antifreeze. Update 11/25/18: over 10k .
