I should have read more reviews :( They are a bit flexible so if you grab the container in the middle the lid can open and the contents pop out I do I don't understand how a bag of flour or sugar (in a bag) can fit in but it's the only way to get the most out of these containers as the lid is so deep that flour or sugar won't fit in if it isn't the Case is a bag weighing less than 5lbs which is what I was hoping for, I only use them for something else as I had to read the reviews and then I would have given up knowing they are not what I wanted getting stronger
