I bought 4 pieces, one for myself to try and 3 for Christmas. The light show is very cool. Costs money. Super cool with the lights off and adds to the atmosphere with the lights on. I've read bad reviews complaining about the brightness and sound. Serious? It's a $30 device. Turn off the lights and get a Bose. In this case, it's all about the quality of the parts. The light on the one I tested went out after turning it on a couple of times. Some people seem to be having issues with various components. I had no problems returning the defective item and getting a refund. I would fully inspect the device during the trade-in period if you purchase it. It's also worth seeing if you can replace parts. If I only had one blown bulb, it should be fixable.
