Only works for audio output and charging - does not work for audio input

The answers to the questions are wrong! THIS WILL NOT WORK FOR CONNECTING UB-C DEVICES TO THE iPad. That is, connecting an audio interface or USB microphone to an iPad using the Camera Connection Kit. - or directly with a USB-C cable. It charges devices and works for audio output, but does NOT work for two-way audio. I bought it specifically to connect USB-C mics to an iPad with a Lightning connector - the iPad doesn't recognize any of the mics and ports. designed specifically for the iPad - multiple different cables and a hardwired microphone. All are certified to work with the iPad, but do not use this adapter. If I hadn't thrown away the packaging I would have sent it back - it's useless to me.
