Light Efficient Good Price

Given the small size of these regulators I doubted they would work effectively. However, I was very pleased and a little surprised by its high potency. They kept my lines taut in all but the strongest breezes when used with a heavy 10' x 14' shade sail. Of course they can easily be reconfigured. Highly recommended for all but the most demanding applications.

Pros
  • Good product for the price
Cons
  • Ok

I love this little tool, light weight and easy to set up.

I love this little line adjuster. I have found that some people who have reviewed this product may have done it wrong if they had issues. I added a photo for those having troubles with this customizer. Make sure the knot is on the inside and not on the outside, this will create the extra leverage needed to add the tent to the cord.

Pros
  • Great Price
Cons
  • Bad Instructions

Construction is good but overall I recommend the 3 bolt regulator. BUT! Double it. One hole at a time overlaps, forming an "almost" W shape, use it as a 3-hole regulator, don't worry about slipping. Creates more pressure points than a 3 hole regulator, no matter where you pull the weight on the leash (up, down, left, right, other lol) it should hold the ground. The only caveat, this will be more difficult to set up. So this is my way of making lemonade with lemons, but that's five and get.

Pros
  • Great overall performance
Cons
  • Expensive

reliable alternative to the train coupling.

Works with thin "paracord" and works with garden twine (a coarse material composed of hemp or other plant fiber) for adjustable webbing on a windy day at 4-6 mph while installing the awning for sealing the seams. The adjustment was very reliable and no play was noted on several of the adjusters for several hours of wind shaking. The edges are rounded and smooth so you don't have to worry about ripping nylon lines like some regulators that are sold machined with through holes and hard-edgedโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Easy to Use
Cons
  • Useless Features

Comfortable, easy to set up and suitable for three-season tents.

I got these recently and have used them a few times. So far so good and they haven't loosened. My concern is that if either of them sees the cable sagging, they will lose some of the tension in the cable and slip off. The time will show. They are easy to adjust and once on the line will not be lost unless the line is severed. I use them on my Marmot Limestone 6P 3 Season tent and on my Big Agnes Three Forks Shelter. I don't think they are suitable for use with the Cabelas Alaskan Guide tentโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Dope ๐Ÿ”ฅ
Cons
  • Requires Socket

I tried the method described in another review but it didn't hold up under a lot of strain. So I experimented, but not sure if that would work on a large strain. After developing the method, I wondered if Liberty Mountain had published how to use it. After all, they are providers. Of course, there is an image for stretch adjusters on Liberty Mountain's website. I see the same black and white image on this Revain page (2017-06-06). The only difference between the Twixt LM method and mine is that

  • Easy to read control panel

solid product. Great for camping.

I bought these to hang a rain tarp over our camp. I have never used such products before so I had some issues with their working. I only mention this so other new users of these customizers can take the time to figure out how to use them before getting started. They don't come with instructions. I think it should just be intuitive. Or something the outdoorsy person just knows! :) Well I didn't and I spent over an hour swearing and trying to hang my tarp by using it incorrectly. I had to do myโ€ฆ

Backpack sag adjuster

I've been looking for these for several years and no one even had them in sporting goods stores. They are 1.5" long, 5/8" wide, 3/32" thick and have 0.22" holes. I can get a 1/4 inch rope to pull it through but it was tight. I was interested in these as I don't like slack adjusters that look like a saw blade (which almost rip the rope every time you insert or remove it), but they allow for multiple adjustments without wearing out the rope. You really have to thread the rope through the holesโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Consistent results in testing
Cons
  • Could have chosen a newer model
