Really nice piece of furniture

I was hesitant to buy this because of some bad reviews but I'm still very glad I bought it! It turned out quality furniture (heavy). I think anyone complaining about it being flimsy had trouble building it because mine is rock solid. My husband and I lifted it by the two holes on the back and lid and didn't feel anything come loose. Because it's so heavy, it was a bit difficult for me to climb off the porch by myself. It took me an hour and a half to assemble it, a small and relatively lazy girl. No power tools required - just a Phillips screwdriver. All other tools you need are included. The instructions were very clear and included both diagrams and written instructions. I assembled everything myself but there is one small detail where it would be useful to have an extra pair of hands but if you are physically fit and careful you can do it without help. The wood feels and looks like solid wood, so if it's veneered pressed board it doesn't look like it. The right side of the cabinet provides additional writing space if you decide to place both shelves close together. vertex. There are two cable openings on the back - one on the platter side and one on the other side. I have an Audio Technica turntable and it has a lot of headroom. If you have one of these suitcase players, it probably won't fit. I have about 50 records and I have room to grow. I like that they can be stored dust-free with the cupboard doors closed. If you're looking for a really good case for your turntable, this is it. I see that I have had this closet for a very long time. It is as beautiful as my buffet table that I bought at a furniture store. +!
