Great shoes! Increase the size!

This is a great pair of aggressive shoes. They have a lot of grip and are definitely suitable for boulders and overhanging sports routes. They are very tight and the strap is honestly not even needed. My main complaint is actually the opening for your leg. It's quite tight and the boot sits just below the ankle, so when I make certain movements with my foot it cuts into the ankle from the outside and causes quite painful sensations. However, this rarely happens and should be corrected with shims and a good break-in. The toe is very tight but not painful if you are the right size. I had to go through 3 different sizes to find the right one. Started with the right size and couldn't fit my foot in the shoe at all. The size went up a half size and I put my foot in but my toes were screaming halfway through my first challenge in Boulder. I finally got them on full size and they still take a lot of effort to put on but they feel great! I can already wear them for an entire climbing session with almost no pain and if they stretch another half a size (which the manufacturer claims) they are perfect. Once I got the right size the toes were fine but the heel was very stiff and a little sore. I cut out small pieces of a plastic bag (maybe 6 in diameter) and slip them in my heels while I climb and the problem is solved! I've heard that high heels never offer full comfort, but I'll trade some comfort for the ultra-secure heel hooks they offer. In the end I am happy with them and they are really magical on the wall! UPDATE: I've been climbing in them for a few months now and will never need a pair of climbing shoes again in my life! They have become really comfortable in the heel and I no longer have pain in them. They're still stretchy, but I think that's an intentional thing with the design. They fit so perfectly it looks like they were designed around my foot! I don't even have to take them off between lifts. It's still nice to air out your feet, but I've often found myself forgetting to take my shoes off halfway through the stand. It should be noted that these are just my slippers. I never wear them on rocks, not because I can't but because I want them to last as long as possible. I imagine they would be just as amazing outdoors.
