I was skeptical of anything but regular white athletic socks. I've always worn wool socks when snowboarding, but mostly because I thought they were warmer. Yes, but what's best about them is their ability to stay warm when wet, resist blistering due to excellent moisture control, and generally provide a more comfortable environment for your feet. I use these socks for long distance runs or runs that tend to get wet. It's not that they can't be used for everyday runs, but an "average" pair of socks comes in handy in my opinion. I totally agree these socks for any avid hiker/runner/hiker/person who loves comfort. It will change your perception of good socks. In terms of durability I've been blown away by these socks for over 3 years and they are just as good as the day I bought them. I still wear socks for adventure days!
