With the exception of the ring gauges, the ring mandrel and hammer are not very durable and are not of the highest quality. There were sharp edges on the parts of the ring mandrel where there were cutouts for the gauge plate. The material of the mandrel was also aluminum, which makes it impossible to adjust the size of the ring on it, along with cutouts for gauge plates. It was the minor issues with the set's cheapness that made you think they weren't going to be the best at all. Aside from these minor issues, which can be fixed with proper tool setup and maintenance, these tools are very good for ring sizing and ring sizing. All of them were pretty accurate and easy to use. I would recommend purchasing a matching hardened ring mandrel with this set so you can properly size and measure the rings.
