I bought this for parents to make it easy to connect their Google Pixelbook Go (ChromeOS) to a traditional desktop environment. Do they connect a USB-C cable for power, USB keyboard/mouse, speakers, microphone, webcam, and wired ethernet? Perfect I thought. Well, it turns out that ChromeOS compatibility isn't 100% at the moment. Works: - Charges device via USB-C Power Delivery - Video via USB-C (haven't tried HDMI/DisplayPort In or DisplayPort Out) - Audio via USB-C (volume up/down buttons work on front panel, microphone Don't try) - USB hub (connected mouse/keyboard worked) Not working: - Webcam (probably a future ChromeOS update will add support) Error trying: - Ethernet (no source at the moment). If Ethernet finally works and a future update from Google adds driver support for Dell hardware used for a Windows Hello compatible webcam, that would be perfect for my use case. without a ChromeOS compatible webcam, and since Dell's documentation or online chat support can't provide me with *any* ChromeOS compatibility information, I'd advise against it if that's the main reason you're considering this product.
