Review on πŸ”Œ STARWARE Uni-Directional DisplayPort to HDMI Cable [4K UHD], 6ft/1.8m, Compatible with Lenovo, HP, DELL, GPU, AMD, NVIDIA, and More by Jeff Vasquez

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Pros: Up to 1440p 60Hz! Cons: HDMI must be an output, not an input

Great product for those looking to connect their DisplayPort enabled computer or device to an HDMI monitor, TV, etc. Good quality construction, cable of adequate gauge but has good shielding and connectors etc. Tested on a Dell S2716DG where the maximum resolution I can get from my HDMI ports on the monitor is 60z 1440p. A few small notes: 1) Some DisplayPort cables on the market have a blocking DisplayPort end to prevent disconnection from the source. If you want it, he doesn't have it. 2) If you want to connect to an HDMI source, look for a different cable. The cable specifically states that it is not bi-directional. I'm asking for this because, to my knowledge, there are bi-directional DisplayPort to HDMI cables. This looks like a cost cutting measure to be more competitive in the IMO market. There's also no other marking on the cable to indicate that DisplayPort is for the input side only and HDMI is for the output side only, which is annoying if you're trying to save a spare cable for future use, which is what I intended.
