I bought these for around the house because everyone likes it arctic and I want to be in shorts (summer in Florida) and not die of the heat in jeans and/or sweats. They work perfectly. They come up just over my knee (I have a 38' inseam) . The only drawback? I have rather muscular legs so they are just a tad bit tight when sitting on the couch, at first, above the knee, but they do stretch out comfortably in about an hour or so. I would assume under boots and walking around or at a desk they would be fine.
