Lightweight desktop environment - Great alternative
I like that it's light weight so my computer doesn't heat up as much when running this operating system. Also, it has all of the most basic necessities you would want in a linux distro. Very simple to install and use once installed. Nothing really, but if your looking for something very lightweight then try out lxle. It does not have any real features other than what is listed above. If you are new to Linux or just need a simple easy way to get started with an Operating System without too many bells and whistles then give lxle a shot. I am able to run some software applications from time to time that aren't compatible with windows 10.
Pros
- This operating system is very light weight and easy to install for someone who knows very little about such software as GNU Linux
Cons
- The only dislike I have about this operating system is that if you want a lot of customization options or even the ability to change your desktop environment (I do a lot of programming in C & C++ so I want the ability to tweak my system to my liking) then you cannot do that with l
