Stable beds! in bed frame

My mother bought 2 of these double bed frames for my kids as gifts. We were both concerned that this would be a faint but unexpected surprise. they are really strong! Assembly was pretty easy. Once you go through instructions like Ikea. We set up the 1st bed in 40 minutes. It would have been quicker, but it took a little while to understand and decipher the instructions. It would have been slower if only one of us was there, but we both got the job done at a steady pace. The second frame was assembled in 30 minutes. After assembling the first one, we didn't need instructions for the second coil. Some of the metal plates/rods that support the mattress have warped due to small protrusions that fit into the support beams. It was a little annoying, but nothing to smooth out with a hammer. Everything is assembled with an Allen key. Kudos for that. The beds have about 12 inches of space downstairs which is good because we can store stuff downstairs as it's a small space. Mattress. The mattress slides over the metal bars, but we can't fix anything with one of them. I would say the packaging sucks. All metal parts are tightly packed in a box. then put in a big box. ZERO SEAL/CUSHION! The smaller box, ie I assume the manufacturer's packaging, is clearly folded into the larger box. This explains why some parts were deformed/bent. The box didn't hold up to all the bumps in transit and both beds came in dented boxes. The shipping boxes were literally ripped apart and one had a huge tear from top to bottom. Please improve transport packaging! So I'm deducting a star because of the instructions and the warped parts. So if you don't get a damaged bed, this is a great bed. Especially for children.
