I only bought these for the UV protection as I work outside a lot. I don't really use them for "training", but my job is physically demanding, so I think I use them for that in a way too. They are great as workout clothes. They are excellent for UV protection. They prevent my skin from roasting in the sun and I don't have to constantly wear sunscreen throughout the day. They are very thin, so I can keep myself relatively cool. (If you buy them for warmth you will be disappointed. In cold weather they hardly feel worn.) What really impressed me was how well they held up. Being a lot cheaper than major brand competitors (Nike, Under Armor) I figured they would fall apart after a few months of weekly use. It's been five months and they're still in great shape. My tip: wash in cold water on gentle cycle and air dry (they are so thin they dry very quickly). Or, if you must use a tumble dryer, turn it down to the lowest setting and dry in just 15-20 minutes. If you treat them well, they will last a long time.
