Solved bed alignment problems*

*My situation is probably quite unique. I have multiple printers and was about to restore and start my very first printer. This is an old i3 duplicator; I replaced the heater a while back and the screws that came with it were too long so I trimmed them down very tricky to keep them from hitting the frame. That being said, one of them is too short causing me to have to really tighten that corner making it difficult to line everything up. These silicon blocks are great - they are shorter than the original spring and quite strong. I found out pretty quickly that stiffer alignment options (compared to springs) are pretty good, assuming you have a relatively flat build plate to start with, pillars etc. With ABL there is almost no need to realign the bed (e.g. Prusa mk3, which has no adjustment screws at all). I screwed them in to keep the bed firm; I doubt it will move much, if at all. I wish I had gotten them a long time ago because it would have literally saved hours and quite a bit of floss wasted lining the bed.

Pros
  • Stylish and modern design
Cons
  • Slightly wrinkled
