I live in a 13 story apartment building in Southwest Florida. We used this tape to outline the end of each landing and the bottom rung of the interior stairs. The only surface prep we did was brush with a long handled stiff brush and then sweep with a finer table brush to remove dust. I precut each strip of tape and cut the backing in half. We peeled off both backing strips about halfway and secured the tape at each end and placed about an inch from the edge of the step. After removing the rest of the backing, I rolled it up tightly to ensure adhesion. The glue is very sticky and seems to stick very well, but will soon see how it will work in the long run. Rain, snow and cold are no obstacles for me here.
