It had many of the features I was looking for. The flow controller was great. It had a very sturdy base and potholders that could hold large pots or a small camping mug. Included are nice additions to the base to hold the canister upside down if needed and a piezo igniter. The weight was reasonable for a stove with all these features: the stove and gas line alone weighed 13.5 ounces; would have to be titanium to be lighter and that would double the price. A unique feature of this stove was the design of the burner jet, which directed the flame inward, producing a more concentrated flame, almost a small fire tornado when held high. This seems to make the flame a bit more resistant to wind. And with my brief attempts, I was also able to keep the fire low to achieve a good cook using a windbreak around the bottom of the stove. The big disappointment, however, was the cook time, which was equal to or worse than the much cheaper and some lighter stoves that didn't have a regulator or "fire tornado" burner feature. The listing doesn't say how many watts or BTUs this stove puts out, although the documentation that came with the stove says 4900 watts, which also suggests higher gas usage for slower cook times. I settled on the much better cook time and wind resistance of the Bulin oven, which was designed to fit closer to heat exchanger pots. If you don't need that quick cook time and want a stove with a control, I can't think of a cheaper option that would give you this and other solid features. Don't be afraid to try this oven if that's your scenario.
