Works when used correctly!
I'm black with 4c hair. I used this with Jherl Curl Gel and Juice (laughs) to wear my hair as a wash and run like that for a week. This should be used at the beginning of the day so that it dries up during the day. If you don't let it dry and sleep on it wet, it will leave marks! Check out YouTube for hair tips using this product. I just bought 2 more bottles. One bottle lasted about 4 uses!
