My mattress is older than I'd like, and with all the repairs and renovations we've done to the house and cabin, I just can't bring myself to spend a lot of money on a new one (if you considering what i want is pretty expensive lol). It was a good compromise. The price was very reasonable for a king size 3" cylinder. There wasn't even an odd smell when I first opened the packaging to allow the foam to return to its original shape and size. The fabric cover is corrugated and breathable. I love the fact that it even comes with a cover as so I had to throw my first one away after it got really freaky.It was easy to put on and take off myself and even easier when I had eyelets to go up one side to pull. I wash my sheets every 5 days considering our work and the number of animals we have. I haven't noticed any seams unraveling after washing twice and on low speed. I like the straps too. How heavy you don't realize how a piece of styrofoam can move until kids jump on mom and dad's beds or a dog chasing cats around the house the straps even adjusted for deep mattresses like mine and e didn't allow them to move if they were close to the mattress. The comfort pillow was excellent! I have a shitty back from having kids and being a nurse for so long and my husband is just as bad because he's been in the military for over 20 years and is a commander and volunteer firefighter. I can't explain the difference in sleep after adding this. We probably should have thrown our mattress away years ago, but it has definitely breathed new life into it. This is the best week of sleep I've had in a long time. Less tossing and turning, that's for sure. And there is no noticeable overheating. We both used our usual light cast and everything was fine. Overall, this is a great addition to an old and already uncomfortable mattress. We sleep better and I don't have to worry about buying a new bed for a while.
