I first bought this to hang a shower screen. The area around our bathroom is tiled with large semi-smooth tiles. I placed one of these hooks on the side, away from splashing water, to hang the cart. This went on for about a week before it detached itself in the middle of the night and the cart fell to the ground. I assumed I exceeded the trolley sticker weight limit so I decided to use the others as towel rails on the back of our bathroom door rather than returning them. We use large towels and the hooks lasted them for months before ALSO becoming detached after about a week. I attached the fourth hook to an unpainted 2x4 joist on the side of the workbench on my workbench in the garage. I use it to hold a cloth. This is the only hook that has lasted more than a few months. The hooks themselves look great, don't bend easily, and overall feel high quality. The adhesive backing is extremely unsuitable for any but extremely light purpose when stuck to a rough surface. I assume the texture of the wood helps the glue stick better? Could it be due to lack of moisture? In any case, they are NOT suitable for towels or bathrobes, unless you want to remove the adhesive film and replace it with another, stronger adhesive solution (superglue? epoxy?). I will not buy them again nor recommend them.
