Professional quality foam gun
A friend of mine is a contractor who recommended these for sealing air gaps in my exterior walls. It has a dial to control how much material is deposited so you can really take in that ball of foam you leave behind. I left it with a can of low expansion foam for a few weeks and was able to pick it up again and use it again. The trigger was a little tight, but a hard pull on the trigger released the gun. It can be a little awkward to shake the foam canister while the gun is attached to it, but it's certainly doable.
