02 Volvo 238k inline 6 cylinder without turbo. The car has been owned for over 10 years. The heater core started leaking, plus $500 for a new one, so I kept driving, adding water as needed. Refused to pour antifreeze as expensive and only follows. It got so bad the salon started flooding, how many! It really snowed. Eventually I bypassed the heater core and drove on. Then the cylinder head gasket blew! Hot water/coolant was forced through a clear plastic reservoir. How terrible. It smoked and bubbled like a volcano. Yes I drove on, added water and used it for very short 3 block rides before it overheated. I wanted to repair the cylinder head gasket. There are quotes from 2500 to 3000! I thought the car was damaged. My wife told me to take it to the landfill. Reduce our losses. I saw an ad on Amazon and bought a bottle of Blur Devil Pour and Go with a laugh. I followed the directions. Remember I already bypassed the heater core so it wasn't connected. I just connected 2 hoses together. I added it to the upper radiator hose and put the hose back on. It said 55 minutes idle but after about 40 minutes I felt sorry and said that was enough to put the car out of its misery and park it. I slammed the hood and went inside. The next day, about 20 hours later, I start the car to get it going. I looked at the temperature sensor, then I hear a knock. I don't see any overheating. So I do a circuit around the block. I am totally shocked! My jaw drops as I run into the house. I am silent! Darling darling Volvo is back! Yes, that's right, she says no, I'm serious! ride with me If we break up, I'll never talk to you again, she says. We took a cruise around the world. The car drove perfectly. No overheating. No smoke from the exhaust pipe. No chugging, fumes, etc. STILL ENJOYING THIS PRODUCT. My problem was very serious and 1 bottle worked. I don't get paid for this and I don't lie. I have no reason. And I don't want to fool my neighbors. All I know is that THIS THING WORKED IN MY VOLVO and believe me it was in a sorry state.
