Does what it's supposed to do cheaply

Does what it's supposed to do cheaply. I can adjust my white balance in Rawtherapee or Nikon's RAW Image Editor to a certain degree of precision to achieve the best quality for all colors in the standard image. (Despite using the aforementioned tools, it's a little cumbersome to transfer white balance settings to and from images. Rawtherapee sticks to pp3 files, while Nikon's Raw Image Editor uses a separate presets menu.) If you can afford the X-Rite though $80, ColorChecker Passport Photo (MSCCPP), then get the X-Rite Passport instead, as the X-Rite Passport tool probably has much more accurate color points, some tinted whites, and 24+ swatches for color calibration. The X-Rite tool can also create a DCP profile for your camera, and creating DCP profiles (e.g. ICC) is really necessary when using third-party raw image editors. If you're happy with your camera manufacturer's raw image editor, ignore the more expensive X-Rite tools and just use that cheaper grayscale to at least adjust your white balance, which makes a surprisingly significant 60-80% difference in overall image color. occupations. If you're just playing around with TIFF/JPEG images or are on a very tight budget, then this cheaper tool will do the trick. Editors (like Rawtherapee) and recently reported that the standard color profile for the Nikon D5600 is not yet available. I also see significant color mismatch between Rawtherapee and Nikon's raw image editors (e.g. ViewNX-i, Capture NX-D, .), although this gray speck gives significant synchronization results between raw image editors, I still see some color anomalies and hopefully the X-Rite Passport fixes these remaining anomalies. ADVANTAGES 1) Very affordable 2) Gray side helps a lot when setting raw image white balance in Rawtherapee or other raw image editors 3) Suitable if you use your camera manufacturer's raw image editor and are happy with it. CONS 1) I'm not sure how long this Lightdow will last compared to the X-Rite Passport 2) Limited use, only gray and white spots 3) The white side has a distinct thread structure unlike the X-Rite color spots.
