This type of friction hook was widely used for hanging tools, brooms, etc. ten or two years ago. They have largely been replaced by multi-piece chain storage systems containing many plastic and branded links, the most expensive and poor quality. It's a real downer when you buy junk, but it's even worse when you buy expensive junk! I was amazed by the quality and finish of these friction hooks: the plastic/vinyl material is grippy enough, the hooks are strong and the size is perfect. , and as an added bonus, they come with bushings and screw caps (see photo).
