Ideal for reading in bed. They also sit well over my reading glasses. They're not great for reading while seated, for example if you want to keep your reading on your lap and use them, as they're quite heavy. When lying down, the weight of the glasses doesn't matter because you don't have to strain to wear them, but when sitting, carrying their weight all the time is tiring. When reading in bed, I recommend some kind of stand for your reading material so that you can position your reading material in a prominent position without having to hold it at the right angle all the time. When I first tried to use them, I got a bit of a headache with prolonged use, but after a while I got used to it and I no longer have headaches when using them. I think it's like reading glasses once you get used to them.
