Review on Xantrex Free-458 2000W 12V 100A M-Sine Inverter/Charger by Zachary Spaulding

Excellent replacement for the original inverter. Works as it should and shipped FAST! EDIT: Xantrex claims a 30 month warranty. I bought this inverter in May 2016. In February 2018, the inverter made a loud buzz and then a very loud pop followed by smoke. So I'm about 22 months out of my 30 month "warranty" and am calling Xantrex. The gentleman I spoke to said I could send it if I wanted to but said the chances of it being guaranteed are slim to zero. I sent it anyway and got a call to say the repair wasn't covered under warranty because they tested it and found my RV had an electrical issue that caused it to fail. I have since replaced it with a Magnum which works great. In the end, this inverter worked great until it broke down when Xantrex stopped supporting it and blamed it on my RV. Lesson learned.
