Soft yes, fits well no.
I did a lot of research and made sure I was ordering the right size for my kids. They run about 3 sizes smaller. Big disappointment. I didn't reorder because I didn't want to keep playing the size game. They were highly recommended by multiple sources but just weren't right for my kids.
- My 12 month old wears a size 2T and weighs about 25 pounds.
- Buttons on top can fall off easily
