Used to be rum flavored and I liked it but wanted to try something new so I settled on vanilla cigar. As many say, it smells more like gingerbread, cinnamon, Christmas etc. I really like this scent. Sometimes I smell a cigar, but mostly it's the smell of gingerbread. I have a fairly thick and long beard and it doesn't take much. It really makes your beard soft. It's a balm, so if you need something to hold it I suggest wax or something. Sometimes I need to use something with a strong hold due to the fullness of my beard. But it will give you a soft beard that smells really good. Today I was approached by several colleagues and asked what smells so good. I heard one girl say she smelled cinnamon and another said she smelled all day but it wasn't offensive or too strong. Just random clues. I love it so much I ordered another can the next day.
