I bought this stabilizer to use with my Sony A7III and FE200-600 lens. When I set it up as described, it doesn't balance when the tilt lock button is fully off. The stem is too short to move the camera and lens far enough back in the mount to achieve balance. I bought and tried a longer Leofoto replacement foot. Leofoto is quite long, but unfortunately it has a protruding heel that doesn't allow the lens to move over 60 degrees in elevation without hitting the base of the stabilizer. Then I tried the Wemberley AP-620 replacement foot. It is long enough to balance and has no heel. It works well and I was able to balance the camera and lens in the stabilizer. My only remaining criticism of the stabilizer is the height adjustment of the mounting platform. It has no cushioning. As soon as I release the platform lock knob, gravity lowers the platform to its lowest position. This is not suitable for minor adjustments and can be very cumbersome when trying to adjust a heavy lens. Regarding customer support, I reached out to Siriu to see if they could offer any suggestions. I couldn't find a support link on the Sirui website and ended up emailing the sales team. The next day I received an answer from someone in Germany. It didn't help much. Her follow-up questions like "What does the lens weigh?" were a waste of time. They could be solved with a simple internet search. It took nine days to exchange three emails with them. I replied almost immediately. They waited several days for an answer. Although they advertise this product as "perfectly compatible with a mirrorless camera and a compatible 200-600mm telephoto lens". Apparently they never tested that claim with a Sony 200-600mm lens and stock. In fact, I'm not sure if they even tested it. I can't find any other lens for mirrorless cameras with a focal length of 200-600mm on the market. So I'm not sure about the basis of their claim. All in all, this is a decent stabilizer for the price. However, the marketing materials are either based on flawed testing or fail to state that the results depended on using a third-party lens mount. In addition, one of the main settings (platform height lock) is difficult to use with heavy lenses. A more accurate rating is probably closer to 3.5 stars. Considering the gold standard Wimberley WH-200 gimbal is almost double the price at $595, I'm generally happy with the $299 Siriu gimbal. I had to spend an additional $79 on Wimberly's leg to make it work. However I would probably buy it anyway as the standard leg is not compatible with Arca-Swiss.
