You have to get used to that!
To be clear, this is something you'll need to practice with a few times before you get the hang of it. Be prepared to use this 2-4 times before it gets easier. If you're a sloppy artist, they're worth it. Take your time placing them carefully so they don't cover any part of your nail or leave marks on the nail. Once you get comfortable with them, there's little to no cleanup at the end, and it's well worth it.
